Biography

James Collis is a London-based partner in our banking and finance team.  James has more than 20 years' experience, focusing on acquisition finance, restructuring, corporate debt and general banking work.

James acts for sponsors, corporates, debt funds, banks and other financial institutions and creditors on cross-border and domestic leveraged buy-outs, structured debt, bid financings and restructurings.  James also has extensive experience across a wide-range of other financing structures, notably: funds finance, borrowing base facilities and margin lending.   A fluent French speaker, he practised in Paris for over 7 years and is familiar with French law financing and restructuring techniques. 

James has also served as the Global Managing Partner of another major international law firm.
