Brandon Schupp

Biography

Brandon Schupp is a corporate and securities lawyer in our business law group and a member of the firm’s special situations team, which plays a leading role in Canada’s most high-profile contested transactions and shareholder activism mandates. Brandon is developing a broad business law practice, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate governance, and shareholder activism. He has acted for both purchasers and vendors in M&A transactions, advised issuers on a wide range of public securities offerings, and represented both issuers and dissident shareholders in connection with proxy contests. 

Brandon joined the Toronto office as a summer student in 2018 and returned to complete his articles in 2019-2020. During his articles, Brandon completed a secondment in the legal department at Toronto Hydro, where he gained valuable experience working on a variety of business law matters. Brandon was awarded the Chancellor's Prize and Gold Medal from Western University in 2016 and was the recipient of the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize in contracts during law school.
