David Aplington is a healthcare lawyer with more than 40 years of experience, including 25 years as in-house counsel and general counsel for a major academic health system.

In his most recent in-house role, Dave was responsible for all legal service operations for a $6 billion, 14-hospital health system, including regulatory advice, corporate governance, corporate structure, risk management, antitrust advice, financing and tax issues. During his tenure, David led and coordinated the legal work on a number of transactions, including the acquisition of two hospitals and the divestiture of one hospital.
