Biography
Dylan Braam is a lawyer in our intellectual property group based in Vancouver. He practises in all areas of intellectual property law, assisting on transactional matters as well as disputes in the federal and British Columbia courts. In addition to his intellectual property law practice, Dylan also represents clients in administrative law matters before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal.
Dylan first joined us in 2018 as a summer articled student. After a completing a second summer and his full articling term, he was called to the bar in 2021. He then clerked for the Honourable Mr. Justice Zinn of the Federal Court before returning to the firm in 2022.
During law school, Dylan was a editor and board member of the UBC Law Review and served as vice president (external) of the UBC Law Students' Society. He competed in the University of Oxford International IP Moot, where he and his teammates received an award for 2nd Best Written Submissions. He also received course prizes for obtaining top marks in Torts and Business Organizations.
Prior to law school, Dylan obtained an undergraduate degree in engineering physics and worked at an engineering consulting firm, where he designed simulations for use in the transportation and logistics industries.
