Biography
Paul Macchione practises in all areas of management-side employment and labour law. He regularly advises on employment standards requirements, labour relations, contract interpretation, health and safety, restrictive covenants, disability management, workplace policies, employment agreements, discipline and discharge.
Paul has acted for employers engaged in wrongful dismissal actions, human rights proceedings, health and safety prosecutions, employment standards complaints and grievance arbitrations. He has appeared before various administrative tribunals and courts, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Paul's clients span a range of industries, including technology, retail, hospitality, finance, transportation and logistics, pharmaceutical and manufacturing.
Prior to joining our Toronto office in 2016, Paul practised at a boutique employment and labour law firm and worked as in-house counsel for one of Ontario's largest employers.
