- Represented a syndicate of commercial bank lenders, including CIBC, Mizuho, MUFG and Société Générale, in connection with the US$6 billion debt financing of the Champlain Hudson Power Express fully buried 339-mile transmission line connecting Canada to New York state, which is expected to generate as much as US$17.3 billion over 30 years for New York homes and businesses through wholesale electricity costs. The 400 kV high-voltage direct current transmission line has been under development for more than a decade in anticipation of New York's transition from fossil fuel to clean energy. It will run beneath Lake Champlain and the Hudson River on the Canadian border and is expected to be operational in 2026. The transaction was named the 2022 "Transmission Deal of the Year" by Project Finance International.
