US projects team represents BCPG Public Company Limited in purchase of cycle power generating portfolio from Carlyle

Norton Rose Fulbright's projects team represented Thai listed BCPG Public Company Limited (BCPG) in the purchase of a combined cycle power generating portfolio from Carlyle.
With this transaction, BCPG will acquire a 25 percent interest in the portfolio. This acquisition, BCPG's second in the US within the last month, signifies its commitment to expanding into this country. BCPG is among Asia-Pacific's leading companies in renewable energy with solar power, hydropower, wind power and natural gas businesses in Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Laos, Vietnam, the Philippines and the United States.
Projects partner Sameer Ghaznavi (Chicago) led this transaction, with the core deal team also including corporate, M&A and securities partner Jared Kaplan (New York), senior associate Jeremy Tripp (Houston) as well as associates Jamal E. Abdulrasheed (Chicago) and Erin Mitchell (Houston).
