Biography
Jonathan Ball is an intellectual property and technology disputes lawyer based in London.
He handles the full range of contentious intellectual property matters, including patents, trade marks, copyright, designs and trade secrets/confidential information.
Jonathan has particular experience of handling major patent litigation, often multijurisdictional, in various industry sectors, including electronics, pharmaceuticals/life sciences and engineering. He has recently worked on patent litigation matters covering mobile payment platforms, automotive engineering, automatic speech recognition and gene sequencing, as well as range of significant High Court trade mark matters.
Jonathan also advises on contentious IT matters, patent and technology licensing disputes, related transactional issues and on research and collaborations. He is an experienced cyber security counsel, particularly with regard to assisting clients and insurers respond to major cyber related information theft, including follow-on enforcement.
He also advises extensively in the area of confidential information and trade secrets, both on contentious/litigation matters through to advisory services, assisting clients to effectively manage trade secrets and confidential information assets and associated risks.
