Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised Gaw Capital on its first green financing. A term loan facility agreement of HKD 150 million was granted to Cornerstone Technologies Holdings Limited. As part and parcel to the transaction, Cornerstone will issue warrants to Gaw Capital.
As a key installer and operator of electronic vehicle (EV) charging facilities in Hong Kong, Cornerstone is committed to providing innovation and technological solutions to drive a more sustainable lifestyle in the city.
This investment not only marks Gaw Capital’s debut in green financing, but also is one of the transactions in a row that Norton Rose Fulbright closed in the sustainable finance space.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Hong Kong Banking and Finance partner Victor Sim, and supported by senior associate Rex Chan and registered foreign lawyer Vivian Wong. Corporate partner Vicky Lam and associate Jane Yau supported the deal on the warrant issuance.
Victor Sim commented: “We’re delighted to advise Gaw Capital on its first green financing. The investment will have a significant impact towards the EV industry in Hong Kong and play a key role in supporting the city’s sustainability objectives.”
