Regulating energy and commodities markets: 2025 outlook

With the recently adopted changes to the EU Regulation on Energy Markets Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) and their pending application, new rules for methane emissions reductions reporting for EU LNG imports, as well as other pending EU and UK initiatives prospectively resulting in changes to a broader commodity derivatives regulatory framework, 2025 is likely to be a busy year for energy and commodity market participants.
