Biography
Julie Cameron is a Calgary-based lawyer practising in the areas of employment, labour, privacy law, and commercial litigation.
In the employment context, Julie advises employers on a range of employment matters and assists in the defence and resolution of wrongful dismissal claims and human rights complaints.
In her privacy law practice, Julie advises clients on compliance with all Canadian privacy laws and compliance with Canada's anti-spam legislation. She has experience advising clients on cybersecurity and privacy compliance and risk management strategies and has assisted in corporate mergers and acquisitions with respect to privacy and cybersecurity matters.
Julie continues to maintain a general commercial litigation practice. She has experience in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, class action defence, and in defence of professional liability claims. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Commission and has experience in arbitration and mediation.
