We explore important changes to consumer protection law in the UK, following the implementation of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCCA). The DMCCA gives the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) new powers to directly enforce consumer law and impose fines of up to 10% of a company’s global turnover, and introduces new protections for consumers. The webinar will also consider some notable case-law developments in, as well as the impact of the DMCCA on, private antitrust enforcement in the UK.
