Global | Press release - Business | June 2021
Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Amaranto Holding S.p.A. (Amaranto) on its incorporation with Byom S.r.l. (Byom) of Fusion S.r.l. (Fusion).
This is a 50/50 joint venture in the renewable energy sector with the aim of investing financial resources in the acquisition and optimization of “distressed” photovoltaic plants. It will also launch initiatives in the distributed generation sector, in the “energy communities” in particular.
The first three plants to be acquired have been identified by Fusion, including a photovoltaic plant owned by Camerino Energy S.r.l. with a capacity of approximately 800 kWp located in the Municipality of Camerino (MC). The related acquisition will be completed by next July.
The firm previously advised Silver Ridge Power Italia S.r.l., an Amaranto group company, in the due diligence activities and acquisition of Camerino Energy S.r.l., which will then be acquired by Fusion.
Milan-based partner Luigi Costa who led on the deal, commented:
“This deal and the combined efforts of Amaranto and Byom will enhance green energy production of existing photovoltaic plants and contribute to the start of the first “energy communities” in Italy. We are very glad to help Amaranto in pursuing such goals.”
The team also included counsel Ginevra Biadico.
