Stephanie Hamon, Head of Legal Operations Consulting, shares her journey into Legal Operations with Alex Kelly Co-founder of Brightflag.

Stephanie's mantra for career development is, always be open to opportunities but that involves looking and being open to trying new things – and not being afraid to fail. This approach has guided Stephanie over the past 20 years working in the business-side of law in Europe and APAC for both a financial institution and several global law firms.

Stephanie took on an exciting role at Barclays in 2015 where she was given 3 key challenges and a tight timeframe to deliver. The challenges involved changing the perception of the in-house legal team from a cost-centre to a strategic enabler and business partner, revisiting relationships with law firms and increasing the pace of change to improve and reinvent legal services delivery. Many of the challenges Stephanie and her team at Norton Rose Fulbright work with clients on today.
