Biography
Kate is a special counsel in the firm's risk advisory practice based in Melbourne. She is a dispute resolution and regulatory enforcement lawyer with over 15 years' experience. During this period, she has worked for leading law firms in Australia and the United Kingdom, and at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). She is dual-qualified in Australia (2009) and England & Wales (2011).
Kate has significant experience with multi-jurisdictional matters, including civil litigation, arbitral enforcement proceedings, arbitration and regulatory investigations.
Kate has a particular focus on financial markets, financial services and emerging technology including crypto-assets. She has extensive experience relating to the design and distribution obligations, ASIC’s Market Integrity Rules, administrative banning orders, insider trading, market manipulation and continuous disclosure obligations.
