Biography
Yu Meng Zhu is an associate practising in our real estate and business law groups, where he assists clients with the acquisition and disposition, financing, development and leasing of commercial real estate. Yu Meng has experience advising on all aspects of the real estate development process, in particular development approval, construction, sales and marketing and property management. Yu Meng also provides counsel on general business law matters, including representing clients in corporate structuring and reorganizations, negotiating and documenting commercial transactions and providing corporate and real estate regulatory advice.
Prior to joining the firm, Yu Meng practised law, with a focus in commercial real estate, at a prominent Western Canadian law firm and in private business.

- Acting for developers in the structuring of joint ventures and acquisitions and financings of project properties
- Acting for a property company in the redevelopment and retail leasing of its major shopping centres in Vancouver
- Acting for a majority owner in the wind up of a strata corporation comprising 25 commercial strata lots
- Advising on the corporate reorganization of a privately held group of companies with significant Canadian holdings
