Biography
Rae Ahmed is a construction and engineering lawyer based in London.
Rae has a mixed contentious and non-contentious practice advising employers, contractors and funders on construction and engineering aspects of major projects in the UK. She regularly advises on various standard form contracts including the JCT and NEC, as well as more bespoke contracts and appointments.

Advising a German open-ended fund on standstill agreements and the settlement of agreement relating to latent defects in a major shopping centre. Separately, advising the client on potential claims against the client under the Building Safety Act 2022 and structural defects claims it may have against multiple contractors.
Advising a client regarding a contractor’s extension of time and additional costs (including Covid-19 related costs) claims and preparing the settlement agreement for these issues.
