Biography
Catrina Smith is an employment lawyer based in London. Catrina has over 30 years’ experience in advising leading national and international companies on sensitive and complex HR and employment law issues. She focuses on all aspects of employment law, including corporate transactions, discrimination issues, business and human rights and the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious work. She also advises on corporate governance and remuneration issues and executive appointments and terminations. Much of her work has an international angle.
Catrina is Chair of the Legislative & Policy Committee of the Employment Lawyers Association which engages with government on employment law reform and responds to government, EU and other consultations on developments in and reforms to employment law. She has also participated in ELA sub-committees responding to a number of government consultations, including on data protection, protection for employees returning from family leave and enforcement. Catrina is a regular speaker at ELA conferences. Catrina is also a Freeman of the Company of Human Resource Professionals and former Board member of Leaders as Change Agents.
Prior to joining the firm, Catrina worked at another leading international practice where she was made a partner in 2003. During her career, Catrina has acted for some of the world's leading companies.
