Supporting Save the Children UK on new technology solution

EMEA Press release - Business February 2025

NRF Transform, the firm’s legal transformation programme, has implemented a technology solution for Save the Children UK’s (SCUK) Legal and Compliance team.

The tailored solution, named NRF Matter Hub enables the more efficient management of legal and compliance matters and enquiries that SCUK’s team handles on an ongoing basis.

NRF Matter Hub has helped SCUK’s Legal and Compliance team ensure a transparent allocation of work, a more streamlined document management process, and better visibility of the volume and type of work coming into the legal and compliance team.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team, led by the firm’s Director of Applied Technology Ben Stirling, worked closely with SCUK to configure the solution, built using Microsoft technology, to cater to their specific needs. The team ran workshops to gather requirements, developed the technology to their specifications and led deployment, supported by the SCUK Technology team.

SCUK’s lawyers and compliance professionals also played a key role in determining the design, especially when it came to the work allocation logic, notification content, data points and dashboard visualisations.

Clare Adam, Deputy General Counsel at SCUK commented: “The solution Norton Rose Fulbright implemented for us means that we receive, assign, track and file matters and emails in a more efficient and effective way. This has created more time for us to focus on more complex work and a set of data which enables us to draw useful insights to support the business with better prioritisation and planning."

Ben Stirling commented: “It was a tremendous pleasure to support SCUK on this project and to collaborate on a solution that provides the charity with better data and a demonstrable understanding of the value their Legal and Compliance team delivers to the organisation.”

SCUK is Norton Rose Fulbright’s first ever strategic charitable partner. Since 2021, the partnership has aimed to address the most pressing and complex barriers to children’s progress. Through volunteering, fundraising and pro bono work, the firm has worked with Save the Children UK on a number of innovative and impactful projects.
