Norton Rose Fulbright highly commended for innovation in pro bono
United Kingdom | Press release - Recognition | September 2024
The Financial Times has commended Norton Rose Fulbright at its annual Innovative Lawyers Europe Awards, reflecting the firm’s commitment to innovation in all aspects of its work for clients and the wider communities in which it operates.
A cross-border and multi-disciplinary team was ‘Highly Commended’ for its pro bono work in support for three non-profit organisations - Save the Children UK, Just For Kids Law and the Children's Rights Alliance for England - in their roles as core participants in Module 2 of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.
The independent public inquiry was set up to examine the UK’s response to and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and learn lessons for the future.
Pro Bono Counsel Andrew Barton and e-disclosure technical lead David Wilkins spoke with the Financial Times in a feature article about the AI tools that the team used to navigate complex Inquiry disclosure.
Norton Rose Fulbright thanks the lawyers and business services professionals from across the firm who volunteered their time to this important initiative.
