Working mothers face a lot of bias – here’s how to push back
An interactive workshop with Lean In
Event Details
The Norton Rose Fulbright Women in Maritime network, in conjunction with non-profit organisation Lean In, are delighted to invite you to attend our workshop “Working mothers face a lot of bias - here’s how to push back”.
Research shows that women become even more driven to advance in their careers after having children*. And yet, because of maternal bias, mothers are often paid less and passed over for promotions due to assumptions about their priorities.
In this online workshop, we’ll discuss the various biases that working mothers frequently encounter and explore practical tips and strategies to overcome them, including how to showcase accomplishments and prioritise high-visibility projects.
This session is part of the “Women at Work” collection created by Lean In for use with circles of women.
Presented by:
Niki Alexandrou | Counsel | Member of the Advisory Board of Lean in NLP and a certified facilitator for Lean in programmes | Certified leadership coach (ICF)
