Our Women in Maritime and Women in aviation networks are delighted to invite you to "An evening with Annie Vernon".

Annie is an ex-Olympic rower, motivational speaker, and author of Mind Games, an award-winning book about the psychology of elite athletes. She represented Team GB at two Olympic Games, securing a silver medal in the women’s quad at Beijing 2008 and finishing fifth in the women’s eight at London 2012.

Drawing on vast experiences both on and off the water - and often in the public eye - Annie will discuss strategies to cope with success, failure, and criticism. She will look at the importance of leadership in achieving team and personal goals and reflect on how men and women build teams, demonstrate leadership and develop confidence differently. Annie will also look at how we learn, process, and move on from the sense of “failure”.

The session will be of interest to many in the professional environment providing everyday mechanisms to put into place.

Please share this invite with colleagues and peers. Spaces are limited, so do register early to secure a place.

If you have any questions please contact Erika Gardiner.
