Court dismisses challenge to UK Export Finance support for Mozambique LNG project

The Energy disputes team have written an article on the recent judgment in R (Friends of the Earth Ltd) v Secretary of State for International Trade/UK Export Finance (UKEF) & Anor [2023] EWCA Civ 14 where the Court of Appeal unanimously dismissed Friends of the Earth’s judicial review of UK Export Finance’s decision to provide a US$1.15 billion export finance package to a liquefied natural gas project in Mozambique.
