Paralegal apprenticeship
Train as a Paralegal with us over a period of 2 years. Apprentices will be exposed to a wide variety of high-quality work and will get the opportunity to learn from the best and brightest minds in commercial law – all from our legal technology hub in Newcastle.
What will I be doing?
After completing your A-levels, you’ll hop straight onto the career ladder and get a head start in carving out a career in law.
You’ll receive hands-on training and develop a rigorous understanding of legal matters, ranging from client requests to transactions, spanning a number of legal specialisms. You’ll also be involved in preparatory work, drafting documents and carrying out research, naturally gaining more responsibility as you progress onto the second year of the apprenticeship.
Alongside gaining practical experience, you’ll be studying one day a week towards attaining the Paralegal Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate of Higher Education at BPP University Law School.

- Paralegal Apprentice year 2 - £20,500
- Paralegal - £21,500
Where will I be based?
All Paralegal Apprentices will be located in our Newcastle office.
Who can apply?
A school leaver with 3 A-levels (A*-C) and 5 GCSEs (A*-C), however we understand that a successful team only thrives with a diverse range of skills, therefore we are also interested to hear about your strengths and motivations, as well as your extra-curricular achievements.
Application Process
- Upon submitting your online application form, you will be invited to complete a bespoke online test, a behaviour based gamification software, tailored to NRF.
- If you meet the minimum benchmark for our online test, your application will be screened against our criteria and if successful you will be invited to conduct a Teams video interview with a member of the Early Careers team. Passing this, you will be invited to an in-person assessment centre.
What does the assessment centre include?
Our assessment centre includes three elements:
- Individual timed written assessment
- Group exercise
- Speed interviewing, giving you the opportunity to meet a wide range of people
