Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has been recognised for its work on two winning deals of the year at the twelfth Aviation 100 Global Leaders Awards.
The Aviation 100 Global Leaders Awards is an annual event organised by Airline Economics in recognition and celebration of some of the leading achievements by companies and individuals in the aviation finance and leasing sector throughout the preceding year.
Norton Rose Fulbright advised Natixis on the Supported Finance Deal of the Year, a Balthazar-supported limited recourse financing of 3 A220-300s to Goal/KGAL on lease to Air Baltic. The team that advised on this deal was led by the firm’s global head of banking and finance and head of aviation for Paris, George Paterson, and included counsel Sebastien Allain, associate Hannah Oliver and associate Maxine Richard.
The winning Freighter Finance Deal of the Year was for three Boeing 767 passenger to freights (P2Fs) for Titan Aviation on lease to Ethiopian Airlines, with the Norton Rose Fulbright team advising and being led by partner Fiona Henderson, with support from associate Gaetano Taormina in New York.
Commenting on the awards, Duncan Batchelor, global head of aviation at Norton Rose Fulbright, said:
“We are delighted that two of the deals we advised our clients on received accolades at this year’s Aviation 100 Global Leaders Awards. As the awards show year on year, the aviation finance and leasing industry continues to look for new ways to get deals done and in so doing, support airlines, lessors, financiers and other parties to achieve their respective objectives. As a global aviation practice, being a part of this gives us great satisfaction. We congratulate our clients and other deal participants on their awards.”
The firm’s aviation practice holds 11 tier 1 rankings across the leading legal directories, Chambers and Legal 500, based on the feedback of our clients and peers.
