Biography
Jennifer Carr is a banking and finance lawyer based in London. She focuses on asset finance and shipping finance.
Jennifer has experience of a broad range of international shipping transactions, including ECA-supported financings, sale-and-leaseback matters and restructurings, as well as representing banks, shipping companies, lessors and other financial institutions.

- A major European bank - on a nine vessel refinancing.
- Macquarie Bank - on a number of secured ship financing transactions, including a multi-vessel US$89m facility for the Argentinian shipping company Interocean.
- ABN AMRO Bank - on a US$130m financing for a newbuild LNG carrier.
- A major European bank - on the refinancing of three bulk carrier vessels.
- Credit Suisse and Nordea (as arrangers) - on a US$450m revolving facility secured over five LNG carriers.
- A listed containership charter owner - on a US$236m bond refinancing.
- A syndicate of international lenders and the export credit agencies on US$1.6bn in export credit agency-covered and uncovered loan facilities to finance the construction of the FPSO Sepetiba and associated derivatives contracts. This will be the first project financing of an FPSO to be supported by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure). Nippon Export and Investment Insurance of Japan and SACE S.p.A. of Italy also provided export credit agency cover. FPSO Sepetiba is owned by a special purpose company owned by affiliated companies of SBM Offshore (64.5 percent) and its partners (35.5 percent). It will be spread moored in approximately 2,000 meters water depth at the Mero field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil, 180 kilometers offshore Rio de Janeiro, and chartered to Petrobras.
