Norton Rose Fulbright advises Marseglia Amaranto and York Capital for 174 solar plants in Italy

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised a consortium of investors comprising Marseglia Amaranto Energia e Sviluppo (MAES) and York Capital Management on administrative law matters, GSE regulatory and corporate matters legal due diligence for a portfolio of 174 photovoltaic plants in Italy (the Portfolio). The portfolio has capacity of over 135MW.
The firm also advised MAES on the review of the intra-company documentation. Silver Ridge Power Italia provided the technical due diligence advice on the Portfolio.
The consortium acquired the Portfolio through the purchase of all quotas of Global Solar Fund S.C.A., a Luxembourg company whose Italian subsidiaries hold the Portfolio.
Luigi Costa, Milan-based partner who led on the deal, commented:
“The portfolio of plants was the largest available in the Italian solar secondary market and thanks to the skills of the management of Marseglia Amaranto and York Capital its performance will be further optimized to increase the production of renewable energy. We’re delighted to have contributed to such a complex transaction.”
