Julia Kafato is an intellectual property lawyer based in Toronto. She is developing a broad IP practice with a focus on litigation.

Julia joined the Toronto office as a summer student in 2022 and returned to complete her articles in 2023–2024. During her articling term, Julia completed a secondment at Royal Bank of Canada.

In her second year of law school, Julia competed in the Fox IP Moot where she and her teammates placed second among 25 teams, winning awards for both oral and written submissions. In her final year of law school, Julia competed in the Oxford IP Moot, where she and her teammates placed first among 28 qualifying teams from around the world. In 2025, Julia will complete a clerkship at the Federal Court of Appeal.
