Biography
Emma Hamer assists both provincially and federally regulated employers in all areas of Canadian labour and employment law, including human rights law, employment standards legislation, accessibility and privacy law, grievance arbitration, labour relations, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Emma represents clients in disputes before various administrative adjudicators, including the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and in civil litigation before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
In addition, Emma provides legal and strategic advice to employers regarding workplace issues and labour relations.
Emma joined our Ottawa office as a summer student in 2020 and as an articling student in 2021.
