Joyce Cai is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and corporate governance.

Joyce joined us as a summer student in 2020 and returned to complete her articles in 2021-2022. During her articling term, Joyce completed a secondment at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she gained experience working on a variety of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

While at law school, Joyce was an executive member of the Osgoode Asian Law Students Association. She also spent a summer volunteering at Legal Aid of Cambodia, working on legal educational materials for marginalized communities.  

Before attending law school, Joyce worked in the global trade finance department of a multinational bank in Toronto.
