Kiri Buchanan is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, and general corporate matters.

Kiri joined us as a summer student in 2018 and returned to complete her articles in 2019 and 2020. During her articling term, Kiri completed a secondment at Metrolinx, where she gained valuable experience working on a variety of matters associated with contracts, real estate, and transportation.

In law school, Kiri won the Cohen Highley LLP Award and the Edward C. Elwood Q.C. Price in Wills and Trusts. She also served as the VP administration in the Student Legal Society and worked as a teaching assistant in healthcare law leading to her nomination for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award of Excellence.

Kiri has several legal and scientific publications that she wrote during law school and as a graduate student.
