Biography
Peter Wiazowski has been practising in the area of corporate finance for over two decades, focusing on cross-border banking and debt capital markets in a wide variety of industries and context. With extensive experience in leveraged finance, he represents lenders and borrowers, and issuers and underwriters, in secured loans, debt offerings, debt tender offers and strategic refinancings, as well as debt finance solutions for M&A, project finance and infrastructure and asset portfolio optimization. He also advises public companies on continuous disclosure obligations and risk management and controls.
Peter is currently our national practice coordinator – banking and debt finance. Prior to joining our Montréal office, he practised in these areas in New York and Paris as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

- Regularly advises on Canadian and cross-border finance transactions for entities such as Bausch Health Companies, Bombardier, CAE Inc., Alamos Gold, Wajax, Rayonier, Énergir, Videotron, Quebecor, Porter Airlines, Parkland, Gibson Energy, TransAlta Renewables, TC Energy Vermilion Energy and Coveo
- The lenders and underwriters in the bank/bond financing of the $2 billion Ile-aux-Tourtes Bridge P3 project in the Montreal, Canada, region
- CAE Inc. on various senior debt financings, including the financings for CAE's recent acquisitions of the military business of L3 Harris, Bombardier's Business Aircraft Training business, and Sabre's AirCentre operations
- Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) in connection with numerous acquisitions and investments, including its investments in the Bank of Montreal, Plenary Group, certain wind energy assets, and its investment in Intact Insurance in connection with Intact's acquisition of RSA Insurance (largest UK takeover of 2020)
- The borrower in the financing for the Vancouver Parq Casino & Resort, a new resort and casino in downtown Vancouver, comprised of a complex first lien / second lien (1L/2L) loan structure
- Alamos Gold Inc. in connection with its US$450 million senior secured increasable extendible revolving credit facility
- Bombardier Inc. in connection with its sale of Bombardier Transportation to Alstom in 2021
- Income Access / Ecom Access Group in the sale of its affiliate marketing technology and clearing platform to Paysafe Group plc
- ING Groep NV/ING Direct Canada on the C$3.1 billion sale of ING Direct Canada to the Bank of Nova Scotia
