• Parmalat, on its acquisition of Kraft Canada's natural cheese division for $1.6 billion
• Nuuvera, a global cannabis company founded on Canadian principles, on its combination with Aphria by plan of arrangement for C$826 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Aphria will acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Nuuvera for a total consideration of approximately $8.50 per Nuuvera share, payable in cash and common shares of Aphria
• Smoothwater Capital Corporation on a C$100 million acquisition of Equity Financial Holdings Inc., which offers residential mortgage loans through its wholly owned subsidiary, Equity Financial Trust Company, pursuant to a court-approved plan of arrangement
• OC Special Opportunities Fund, LP, a Cayman-based private equity fund managed by Orange Capital Ventures GP, LP, a New York City-based fund manager, on its acquisition of all the issued and outstanding common shares, warrants and options of Gaming Nation Inc., a Canadian online fantasy sports company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, by way of plan of arrangement for consideration equivalent to C$0.95 per share (for a total purchase price of approximately C$44 million)
• InnVest Real Estate Investment Trust in its acquisition by Bluesky Hotels and Resorts by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) for approximately C$2.1 billion
• Porter Aviation Holdings Inc. in the sale of the passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to a consortium of Canadian and international infrastructure equity investors
• Yamana Gold Inc. with its acquisition, with Agnico Eagle, of Osisko’s outstanding common shares for $3.9 billion
• Dundee Corporation with the spin-off of DREAM Unlimited Corp. by a plan of arrangement
