Victoria Birch is a corporate finance lawyer based in London.

She has advised on a variety of international and domestic corporate finance transactions, including private and public M&A, joint ventures, private equity investments, restructurings and general corporate and commercial matters.

Victoria is global co-head of our CVC/Strategic Investments team. She was instrumental in the development of our innovative “Strategic Investments” product advising the corporate venture arms of our leading corporate clients entering the venture capital space and is the exclusive adviser to a number of them on these matters. The Strategic Investments product was recently named the “Standout” in the ‘Overcoming Barriers to Investment and Financing’ category of the Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards (Europe) 2022.

Victoria is co-head of the payments practice and a member of our global FinTech group, and is a regular speaker on artificial intelligence, distributed ledgers, blockchain technology, smart contracts, IOT and technology more broadly. 

Victoria is also co-PMI lead in London for post-merger integration and restructuring mandates. She spent six months on secondment to HSBC's global restructuring team.

She joined the firm in 2010, having previously worked at a London magic circle firm and a US law firm.
