Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright is proud to announce Walied Soliman’s appointment to the Order of Ontario. He was inducted into the Order on January 1, 2025, by Her Honour, The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Edith Dumont. This prestigious recognition celebrates Mr. Soliman’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession and his unwavering commitment to community service through philanthropy. 

As a leading advisor, Mr. Soliman specializes in shareholder activism, corporate governance, high-stakes mergers and acquisitions, and complex restructuring matters. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he serves as the Board Chair of the SickKids Foundation, playing a key role in advancing critical care for children. His dedication to public service includes chairing Ontario’s Capital Markets Modernization Taskforce in 2020. In 2019, the United Nations Association in Canada recognized him as its Global Citizen Laureate for his exceptional professional and humanitarian contributions. 

The Order of Ontario is the province's highest honour, bestowed upon individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to strengthening Ontario, Canada, and the broader world. Its members represent diverse sectors, including public service, business, health care, and journalism.
