Costs awards in trademark opposition proceedings have been long anticipated in Canada.

On January 16, federal OSHA announced new maximum citation penalties based on inflationary adjustments. States with a federally-approved plan must adopt at least these levels.
The new penalties may be assessed immediately.

Serious other-than-serious posting requirements | US$14,502 per violation |
Failure to abate | US$14,502 per day beyond the abatement date |
Willful or repeated | US$145,027 per violation |
