The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) has issued workplace guidelines for employers and employees and created a new hotline, 855-SAFEC19 (855-723-3219), to answer guideline questions and protect Michigan workers from COVID. The new hotline will utilize experienced MIOSHA staff to answer questions from employers and workers.
MIOSHA has also provided clarification for the construction and manufacturing sectors to protect those workers. These Workplace Safety Guidelines can be found at Michigan.gov/LEO.
Employers must create a written exposure control plan which includes exposure determinations and outlines typical industrial hygiene steps to prevent employee exposure to COVID, including:
