We are fundamentally inclusive.
We are building a workplace where everyone belongs.
Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) isn’t a single program or stand-alone initiative. It’s a principle woven deeply into the fabric of our firm.
We are inclusive because we think about diversity when we make decisions, form teams and celebrate the intersectionality of our lives. How?
We personalize experiences.
Your career is your own. We care about people feeling welcome and having the opportunity to achieve their best. That’s why we tailor professional development, mentorship and pro bono opportunities to your specific aspirations, interests and goals. What can you expect?

We are tremendously proud of our Career Strategies Programs (CSP). Our CSP for women supports high-performing senior women associates with the potential to progress to partnership. Our program launched in 2013, and provides a platform for connecting across regions, learning to hone people management and leadership skills as well as coaching to support our women in setting and attaining their ambitious goals for themselves.
Our CSP BIPOC program launched in 2022 and is designed to support lawyers who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) in achieving their career ambitions. It includes our CSP BIPOC Connect module, a national mentorship program that provides the opportunity for lawyers to expand their national network across our Canadian offices and gain career guidance and professional development support through a combination of 1:1 and group conversations.
We hold ourselves accountable.
Here, we focus on providing equal employment opportunities and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. We’re proud to have been the first Canadian law firm to publish diversity data publicly. And we remain focused on leading the industry in inclusive practices overall.

We want students to feel welcome and included.
Inclusion is more than a metric. It’s also a feeling we foster together. At Norton Rose Fulbright, we strive to create equitable environments where all people can be themselves and realize their career potential — starting with our students, and carrying through every step on the career journey.
