Social Impact
The community giving and volunteering initiatives as part of our Social Impact efforts further our philanthropic goals by making it easier for the firm and our people to make financial and personal contributions. This also allows us to give back to the communities where we live and work.
Selected donations:
- St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation – to support Indigenous wellness and reconciliation
- Jumpstart – to build inclusive and accessible playgrounds
- Park People – to improve the quality of green spaces in local communities
- Indian Residential Schools Survivors Society – in recognition of the Indian residential schools survivors
Volunteering
Every year our firm members volunteer for various causes close to their hearts, such as food banks, local animal shelters, social services and community organizations.
Through our volunteering program, all employees are encouraged to volunteer with charitable organizations. Each eligible employee can volunteer up to 1 day (or 7 hours) per year with full pay, which equals 9,618 paid volunteer hours supporting our Canadian communities. In recent years, these volunteer initiatives have included Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry; Sporting Life 10k in support of Camp Ooch; RBC Race for the Kids; and the CIBC Walk for the Cure.
