Norton Rose Fulbright advises SIMPAR and its subsidiaries in US$250M ESG-related financing

Lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright's São Paulo office advised SIMPAR S.A. (Simpar) and certain of its subsidiaries in its recent US$250 million ESG-related financing with the IDB Invest, the private sector affiliate of the Inter-American Development Bank. The financing was joined by Bank of China Limited, MUFG Bank, Ltd., Banco Santander S.A. and Banco do Occidente S.A.
In line with five of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals, the ESG-related loan, which included a US$100 million allocation to projects linked to Simpar's "green" sustainable agenda, involved four separate credit facilities and two "A" and "B" credit lines provided to its subsidiaries JSL, Movida, Vamos and CS Brasil and will finance investments in decarbonization and fleet renewal as well as working capital and acquisitions.
