Lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright's São Paulo office advised Suzano International Finance B.V. in its recent syndicated US$1.2 billion sustainability-linked credit facility.
The facility includes environmental performance indicators connected to biodiversity, aligning with the company's ambition to connect half a million hectares of Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Amazon biomes by 2030. The initiative is part of Suzano’s “Commitments to Renewing Life,” which includes a pledge to support biodiversity conservation in Brazil by connecting isolated forest areas through ecological corridors.
Norton Rose Fulbright’s deal team was led by Charles Johnson and included Diego Brandão, Cameron Royse and Arthur dos Santos (São Paulo).
