Biography
Emilee is a construction and infrastructure lawyer, based in Sydney.
Emilee draws on broad experience from carriage of disputes in excess of $600 million across all dispute resolution processes (i.e. litigation, arbitration, mediation, expert determination). Emilee also regularly assists clients with transactional matters and has advised on well over $800 million worth of contracts across various jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in New Zealand and New South Wales.
Emilee regularly acts on behalf of contractors in the infrastructure, energy and resources sectors. She is adept at managing all aspects of contract preparation, including negotiation, drafting and risk analysis using both Australian Standard form and bespoke construction contracts. She regularly acts as project counsel and advises on contract administration.
Emilee is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution including representing clients in court proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Court of Appeal (and lower courts and those interstate), expert determinations and mediations. She has made and responded to many adjudications under Security of Payment legislation.
Emilee is a member of NAWIC and regularly engages in industry events.

- Westconnex ($120m) - acting for contractor defending claim brought by head contractor in relation to design of major road upgrades

- Aged Care Development ($15m) - pursuing claim against principal under dispute resolution provision and acting as project counsel during project’s delivery
