Biography
Julian Traill is a corporate M&A and energy lawyer based in Brisbane and is qualified in England and Wales and Queensland, Australia.
He has extensive corporate M&A and joint ventures experience, advising on cross-border deals across a range of sectors including energy and natural resources, technology, food and agribusiness, consumer and retail, telecommunications, transport and infrastructure and financial services.
He was previously based in the firm's Moscow office, where he worked as a partner since 2014 and advised international and national energy companies on upstream joint ventures and technology-focused investments, and corporates and financial investors on equity investments, M&A and joint ventures.
Julian maintains a cross-border practice, assisting clients operating in Australia, Asia, the US, Europe and around the world. This includes advising financial sponsors such as investment banks, infrastructure, sovereign wealth and private equity funds pursuing deals across a range of sectors.
