Advancing and engaging women
We aim to be the employer of choice for women in the legal sector and to meet our target of 40:40:20. Read about our progress in closing the gender pay gap.
Our vision is to be an employer of choice worldwide, attracting and retaining the best people in order to provide our clients with the most considered and innovative advice.
To attract the best people, we strive to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment where our people can bring their whole selves to work, have a sense of belonging and realize their full career potential.
With more than 6,800 people worldwide, we benefit from the diversity of perspectives and experiences each person brings to the firm – from national origin, disability and gender identity to religion, culture, sexual orientation and socio-economic backgrounds.
We value difference and actively promote a culture of respect for each individual, encouraging and creating inclusion.
We work closely with clients on a variety of diversity and inclusion initiatives, including round-table discussions, sharing of best practice, resource groups mentoring and support, training and joint events.
We are proud of the recognition we receive for our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in Australia.
We base our approach to diversity, equity and inclusion on six key pillars:
Advancing and engaging women
We aim to be the employer of choice for women in the legal sector and to meet our target of 40:40:20. Read about our progress in closing the gender pay gap.
Racial, ethnic and cultural diversity
We are committed to creating a more culturally and linguistically diverse workforce to mirror the communities within which we do business.
LGBTIQ+ inclusion
We work hard to ensure we have an inclusive culture that supports our LGBTIQ+ colleagues and ensures they have a sense of belonging at Norton Rose Fulbright.
Disability confidence
We aim to remove barriers and challenges for people living with disability both through the recruitment process, at interview, and as employees. We aim to be a disability confident organisation where adjustments can be made to ensure everyone can reach their full potential.
Family and those with caring responsibilities
We have an inclusive parental leave policy and program to ensure everyone can access the generous benefits when becoming a parent. In addition we have a focus on people performing a range of other caring roles and aim to support our people through the Carers Network and other initiatives.
