Pensions Dashboards Programme consults on draft design standards

Vereinigtes Königreich Publikation Dezember 2022

On December 1, 2022, the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) launched a consultation on draft mandatory design standards setting out how qualifying (that is, commercial dashboards approved by the FCA) pensions dashboards services (QPDS) must present pensions information to dashboard users. The aim is to ensure consistent, clear and comprehensible information across the various dashboards.

The consultation is aimed at organisations interested in operating a QPDS but will also be of interest to pension providers and schemes since it explains how information they return to dashboards will be displayed.

The PDP intends to issue the design standards at the same time as the FCA finalises its regulatory framework for QPDS, which the PDP anticipates will be in or around summer 2023. The MaPs-built dashboard, available through the MoneyHelper website, will also aim to conform to the PDP standards.

Both consultations close on February 16, 2023, which is less than two months before the first connection window for large master trusts opens on April 1, 2023.
