Biography
Manpreet Singh is a regulatory lawyer based in Toronto with a focus on the life sciences, food, cosmetics, cannabis, technology and agribusiness sectors. She advises clients on a range of regulatory matters, including supply chain issues, recalls, licensing, advertising, packaging and labeling. She regularly assists clients with post-market compliance issues, including responding to enforcement actions by government regulators.
Manpreet’s experience also extends to commercial matters where she pairs her legal understanding with a business-focused approach to advise, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements and materials in the healthcare, commercial and technology space. She has extensive experience leading negotiations with government agencies, universities and hospitals throughout Canada.
As part of her health regulatory practice, she provides strategic advice through all stages of the product life cycle from development to marketing authorization and commercialization. She routinely advises on clinical trials, patient support programs, telemedicine and digital health, including matters relating to healthcare professionals and the delivery of health services across Canada. Manpreet also advises clients on access to information requests and the privacy implications of collecting, using and disclosing personal information, particularly in the context of patient services, marketing initiatives, digital health, and cross-border data transfers.
Manpreet previously practised at a leading national law firm where she also worked within in-house legal departments for major multinational companies in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to her career in law, Manpreet worked as a scientist and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
