Biography
Sam Hergenrother is a commercial lawyer in the Government team based in Canberra.
Sam has a strong familiarity with the legal issues that can arise during government procurement and contracting activities with a firm understanding of the Commonwealth procurement framework, the process of approaching the market, tender evaluation, negotiations, and contract management.
Having worked on a number of projects for the Australian Department of Defence throughout his career (in a legal and commercial capacity), Sam has a strong level of familiarity with large scale Defence Materiel Acquisition projects and capability support programs involving Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. In addition to this, Sam has an in depth understanding of Defence's ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates. Sam also has a high degree of awareness in relation to Defence's internal procurement policies and procedures.
Sam also has experience in Commonwealth ICT procurement activities using different Whole of Government Agreements.
