Biography

Dominique Noël is a versatile litigator handling a variety of civil and commercial disputes in which he represents a diverse range of clients, including major corporations, insurance companies and Quebec municipalities. His practice focuses primarily on commercial law; construction, real estate and infrastructure; and insurance. 

Dominique provides strategic and effective legal representation and advice to clients in complex and high-stakes disputes, allowing them to resolve efficiently disputes arising from business transactions, contractual agreements and other commercial disputes. 

Within the fields of construction law, real estate and infrastructure, Dominique represents owners, contractors and professionals in litigation arising out of major transactions and projects, including several multimillion dollar professional liability claims. Incidentally, Dominique also represents manufacturers and distributors in product liability claims related to construction projects and retail goods.

  • SNC-Lavalin Inc., with regard to various construction and professional liability claims, including a C$7 million claim arising out of a large infrastructure project in the Montreal area
  • Akzo Nobel Coatings Ltd., in a C$59 million product liability claim pertaining paint used in children's' toys
  • CDPQ Infra Inc., regarding a challenge to the Réseau express métropolitain, a C$6.3 billion public transportation infrastructure project
  • Lloyd's Underwriters and its insured, the engineering firm EGP Group, in the defence of a multi-million dollar claim relating to the construction of the Altoria tower in Montreal
  • Several Quebec municipalities in various matters, including administrative law matters, construction claims and general liability claims
