Brandy served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and as a Legal Research & Legal Writing Teaching Quizmaster while at the University of Texas. She was a Thad T. Hutcheson Moot Court 2007 Semi-Finalist and 2009 Student Director and Susman Godfrey Moot Court 2008 Quarter-Finalist. Also during law school, Brandy was a part of the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society and a member of the Board of Advocates. She received honors as a member of the President's and Dean's Honor Rolls at the University of Oklahoma, where she was also a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society and National Society of Black Engineers.

• Represented health care company in mediation related to patent infringement suit
• Represented pro bono clients in hearings, mediation, and/or trial concerning divorce, probate, and a contract dispute
