These past two years have seen an influx of litigation claiming that commonly used tracking technologies give rise to potential liability.

On January 16, federal OSHA announced new maximum citation penalties based on inflationary adjustments. States with a federally-approved plan must adopt at least these levels.
The new penalties may be assessed immediately.
Type of violation | Penalty |
Serious other-than-serious posting requirements | US$14,502 per violation |
Failure to abate | US$14,502 per day beyond the abatement date |
Willful or repeated | US$145,027 per violation |
